Regional Finals Reaction
After taking last week off, the Fast Break is back and ready for the Final Four and the start of baseball season later this week. Here's today's Cincinnati Fast Break:
This is the biggest reason why the Reds have had more success on the field in the past few years.
The Reds are gaining tons of respect, even the folks in St. Louis are jumping on board.
Everyone in the NL Central is getting banged up early this season and Buster Olney has thoughts on that issue.
Good for Brian Gregory, but I think the move is better for UD and bad for Georgia Tech. Wasn't this guy a chronic underachiever in the A-10?
Here's where Act-like-you've-been-there Guy has a massive heart attack.
Seriously though, I never got the burning furniture to celebrate a big victory mentality. Folks in Lexington and Columbus must be really loaded if they have extra couches around to just burn to the ground.
You're hardcore if you stuck around long enough to see the end of this game...

Bearcats bounced by UConn
The final Cincinnati Fast Break of the 2010-2011 college basketball season for UC:
Time to put the next phase of UC’s rebuilding plan into effect.
This gives me cause for concern. The Reds do have depth at pitching, but Cueto is a key to their success.
Mark Sheldon weighs in on Cueto’s situation.
This is beyond inspirational.
Here’s the full video of the craziest basketball game ending I’ve ever seen. Just a microcosm of the rest of this weekend’s insanity in the NCAA Tournament.
As Barry Bonds finally goes to trial today, the bigger question is: Who cares? His reputation is already in the toilet as is. Let’s see if the government can nail him, my guess is he doesn’t spend time in prison.
I’m not concerned about what people say about the Big East’s performance in this year’s Tournament. Everything is nuts as is and the way Big East teams have exited just adds to it.
Here’s how your favorite ESPN personalities’ brackets are doing. President Obama’s bracket is strong, despite all the upsets.
The Cotton Bowl people are praying that the Fiesta Bowl gets the book thrown at them.

Speaking of Missouri, might UC decide not to use full court pressure against a team that does the same?
Marquette always seems to reload with talent, which is a concern for Xavier in Friday’s game.
Dusty Baker is deep, man… and a little random.
Stuff like this makes me understand why some Americans don’t fully understand hockey. I love the NHL and I’m still scratching my head.
Then there’s this situation, who was terrible on the Roast of Donald Trump by the way, which is crazy for hockey and announcers everywhere. Yo dude, didn’t they ever teach you about not peaking too early. (It’s a broadcasting term, sickos.)
Speaking of overreacting, I have a feeling I looked like this at UC games during my time in the student section, minus the d-bag pink shirt.
Scary situation here, taking a pitch is hardly easy. Taking one to the face is terrifying.
I know I shouldn’t laugh but the coach in the video sounds like he’s doing a bad job of taunting the kid, IN THE FACE, IN THE FACE!

East Regional Breakdown
Today’s Cincinnati Fast Break:
A look back at how Mick Cronin scrapped his way through the past five years to finally get UC back to the NCAA Tournament.
Bill Koch wonders how UC would have fared this season if Lance Stephenson wouldn’t have left to ride the pine for the Pacers. I personally think the Bearcats are better off without him, but if Mick would have been able to adjust his attitude the way he did with Yancy Gates, this team could have been scary good with a go-to scorer.
Xavier’s talented women’s team feels they got robbed out of playing in the Dayton regional in the NCAA Tournament, and I have to agree. The Women’s tournament is one of the most corrupt and unusual events you’ll find. The projected good teams are the ones that get chosen to host the first rounds, like Xavier gets to do this year, because the NCAA knows those schools will sell tickets. Xavier not getting respect, because they are a smaller school, is the reason they have to go to Spokane instead of Dayton. Just goes to show the ongoing corruptness of the governing body of collegiate athletics.
Ever want to get your wife, fiancée, girlfriend, friend you’re awkwardly trying to move in on, etc… to be interested in sports? These tips might help.
